About Navya
A popular south Indian film actress, Navya Nair was born as Dhanya Veena on October 14, 1985 to Mr. Raju and Ms. Veena in Alleppey district of Kerala. Navya was as good in her studies as she was in dance.
Navya was in grade 2 when she started her formal education in dance under Mr. Ennekadu Narayanakutty and within two years itself her arangettam was held. Acclaimed Malayalam film actor Mr. Jagathy Sreekumar inaugurated the function in which she was performing. Since then Navya has trained under several gurus like RLV Anilkumar, RLV Pradeep Kumar.
She is currently training under Manu Master.
According to Navya, dance cannot be learnt overnight as it is a sadhana. “It is more than just theory and a few moves. It is a spiritual journey that you undertake to attain your goal – which is to dance soulfully.
